Sock & Nickels (2024)
Sock & Nickels is a short film produced by Takoda and completed in collaboration with several of her peers. This Jim Henson inspired short film is a comedy following a washed up detective who must return to the field to investigate the untimely death of his banking CEO brother. Takoda worked closely with the director and writer and filled in as puppeteer and co-editor.
Created while in high school, this short documentary film features the history of an iconic historic campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Won 1st place at the Horry County Historical Sites Video Contest in 2023.
Scripts
Written in collaboration with peers and professors, this script explores the creation of lavender. inspired by Norse and Greek mythology, this script will be produced by SCAD in the Summer of 2026 in Lacoste, France.
Also written as an option for 2026’s Lacoste production, this comedy script follows a young man who is terrified of all things French.
Takoda’s first ever pilot script, it follows a young boy named Winston as he wins over the friendship and teamwork of his musically inclined neighbor so he can win the cash prize of a radio sweepstakes to fund his mother’s surgery. It is loosely inspired by the late Cirque Du Soleil show, The Beatles Love.
This audio drama/podcast is based off the real life reports of intercepted radio transmissions cited internationally after Amelia Earhart’s disappearance in 1937.
